Don't forget this

Read time: 1.7 minutes

Hey friend,

One question I never fail to ask myself during the holidays is:

Am I being ungrateful right now?

Many of us frequently think about more: How can I make more money? How can I have more time? How can I get more?

Ambition is a great thing — it pushes you to earn more, invest more, and build more wealth.

But if you're always focused on what's missing, you risk forgetting what you have.

Gratitude helps us pause and see life in a more positive light.

This shift in perspective changes how we act: studies show that people who practice gratitude are better at solving problems, building strong relationships, and managing their money.

When I worked my corporate job, I was miserable. I had to wake up at 5 AM, commute 2.5 hours (round trip) and work 60-90 hour weeks.

But one day, it hit me — this job afforded me the chance to start my own business. It paid my bills, gave me stability, allowed me to invest, and took some of the weight off while I worked on my side hustle.

This perspective gave me the motivation I needed to keep pushing.

Being grateful with where you are or what you have is a healthier way to live life. You can still work on improving and wanting more, but it doesn't come from feeling like what you have is never enough.

My Ask of You

With the year winding down, reflect on 1 thing you’re grateful for.

It can be anything: cuddling with your dog, eating hot honey pizza, or being around family.

Then, reply to this email and share that 1 thing with me (I read every email).

2025 is going to be a big year. This year, we laid the foundation. Next year, we're taking it to the next level.

My favorite things this week

The Psychology of Money - This is one of my favorite books about money. A lot of traditional money books approach money with hard numbers. This book, on the other hand, approaches it with psychological which makes it a lot more interesting.

Thanksgiving movies - I was looking for Thanksgiving-related movies this week to get into the mood but I was surprised how few there are. So I ended up watching the horror movie “Thanksgiving” which honestly, not good. Not sure why I added it here but just wanted to share.

Rakuten - I don’t buy anything without checking this shopping portal first. It has the best cash back deals avaliable. Right now, Rakuten is offering a $40 cash bonus for new members after you spend at least $40.
